Ugh you guys. I'm already rethinking my jewelry choices.

Amanda, on May 9, 2013 at 12:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

Thank goodness that I bought my jewelry from an Etsy seller that offers returns, because I don't think I'm going the colored jewelry route anymore. For those just tuning in, I weighed my options here just six days ago:

I think I'm just way too indecisive/picky about jewelry to purchase online, plus I'm second guessing the colored jewelry look altogether. I want the focus to be on me and not my jewelry, ya know?! So I'm going to do a little browsing this Saturday when FH and I are near a mall anyway. Any ideas on where to look for traditional, crystal bridal jewelry that won't break the bank?

I'm kind of bummed. I like the color option. The green is soft and subtle. Maybe do crystal for the ceremony and colored for the reception just to change it up a little?

Kohls has a decent jewelry selection and there are always sales and coupons.

I really like your jewelry! I think it looks good and wouldn't be distracting. But I also see where you are coming from.

I went to Lord & Taylor and Macy's for my jewelry. They have great stuff!

Macys, Nordstrom . . . those places have crystal jewelry relatively cheap if you look through some of their racks. Not all of it in necessarily sold as "bridal jewelry", but they could be!

You had rave reviews when you first posted. I think they look elegant and don't draw attention way. They have a soft tone to them, so it's not like they pop. And they look awesome with the shoes.

Okay okay, what if I promise to wait until my dress comes in next week to decide for sure? I have 30 days to return to the Etsy seller, and I could pick up something also returnable this weekend. That way I have both options side by side. Deal? Haha :-)

I know Tom, I'm so torn!

Or maybe I could keep the colored earrings and go for a simple crystal bracelet?

I changed my jewelry 3 times! I'm happy now though! I ended up getting my bracelet from Charming Charlie's, my earrings from Nordstorm (LLLLLLLLLLOVE them...my favorite!!!) and necklace from Macy's. Oh. And hair comb on eBay.

LOL Paris, I'm like you with your videographer dilemma. Have you signed that contract yet?!

First, I'm in love with your shoes!

2nd..i agree with Paris about loving the colored jewelry option. I do understand your concern though.

Any of the department stores should have a good selection of jewelry that won't break the bank. And I also agree with Paris that Kohl's has a good selection and coupons/sales all the time. :-)

No, and I don't think we're going to. ::ducks stones::

If my house sells for more than I'm hoping to get for it, maybe. Nobody is killing anyone for our date so I'm sure I have lots of time.

Do you have a Charming Charlie near you? I got my wedding jewelry there - crystal dangly earrings and matching blingy bracelet. But I really liked the initial jewelry you picked out - the color and style matched the shoes perfectly! I think I'd still keep it, even if to wear for other occasions.

Aww man. I really like your decision with the pop in color. It won't distract from you as the bride. I think it adds to it! But it's your choice and I'm sure whatever it is, it'll still be stunning!

I've heard it said a woman can never have too many shoes or two much jewelery. When your dress comes, you can go pic-posting crazy Smiley laugh

Hahaha you guys are awesome. I have Kohls cash to burn anyway, so I'll go tonight and see what I can find. Then I can check out Charming Charlie's/Nordstrom/Macys this weekend. Maybe the colored jewelry will win after all?

If it makes you feel better my wedding is two days away and I still don't know what I'm doing for jewelry.
