The BYOC discussion has crossed over onto FB

Monica SC, on April 20, 2015 at 8:37 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

I am seeing the earlier post about this being discussed in several on my FB groups. The consensus on FB is that anyone who thinks this tacky is a bitch! Lol....guess that includes me.

I'd be totally planning on bringing my own cat. Doesn't everyone?

I thought it was "bring your own cocktail" or in my business "build your own cloud."

    Bring your own chair...lol.

I think Tucker was the WW gal who started the discussion today. It was a funny post about the invite she got.

Yea we knew and were being sarcastic. I'm heading to an engineering convention and my groups shirts say BYOC on the back. I'll send a few to brides needing chairs. Lol. Engineering humor (bring your own cloud).

Oh god AnnKay, yes! I actually cringe at least once a day from the WW Facebook group. Dresses from China, PPD'S, self catering, camo decor, gofund me accounts galore. What's worse are the DOZENS of comments encouraging the bride for her "super awesome idea!!!"

If I had the Captain kirk facepalm meme, I would use it here.

Haha I did have someone tell me at lunch that maybe I was being over critical because I was upset he got married right before me. I'm thinking nope I'm just being critical cuz my cousin is being dumb and not properly hosting his guest.

It's a wedding, not a lawn concert. Bringing your own chair IS tacky. People are so weird.

Wow seriously? Umm what about people out of state...do they have to stop at walmart on the way to buy a chair and then try and return it after the wedding is over? Or maybe steal a chair from the hotel they're staying at? I just don't get it!!

Omg the resale groups... One of my favorites on mine is a girl trying to sell her wedding dress. In the pic she is standing in a parking lot across from a Taco Bell. Still available!!

BYOC is one of the worst... my cousin had his wedding at the salvation army and people were stealing furniture from the donation center while it was going on and BYOC is worse than that to me

I received a wedding invite recently that the bride and groom are getting married outdoors in a park. They have setting for everyone at the wedding and reception. They are having lawn games like cornhole and horseshoes. They stated that they will have picnic tables by the games but if you wanted you might want to bring your own lawn chair. I thought it was okay to mention you could bring your lawn chair if you wanted to. Are people seriously saying to bring a chair for the wedding and/or reception??? LOL I have never even heard of that before LOL...
