Table numbers

Betho, on September 25, 2013 at 1:04 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 16

Hey everybody... I'm making my own centerpieces (see below, sorry pic is not very good) and I'm wondering how to incorporate a table number. I don't think I want to do a paper "tent" or one of those wire holders. Any other thoughts?

Could you just buy a picture frame to put next to it with a table number in the frame?

I see a lot of lanterns with picture frames, so that's one idea. What about attaching to the number somehow to the side of the lantern?

Our idea as of now is to do something similar to this.. For the table number we are going to take pictures together holding the numbers (different ways) and then we are going to transfer the photo onto wood.. It looks pretty easy.. if youre interested in that just google "Transfer photo to wood" good luck Smiley smile

That's cute. I don't have any ideas to contribute. Just wanted to say it's cute.

I did a floral birdcage centerpiece, so similar to your lantern ones. I made table numbers to stand up next to it. Wooden table numbers glued on wooden mosaic trays on small easels. Not too different than VivaLaVal's framed pieces so that might be an easier way to do it.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you ladies get your lanterns? hanging ours from shepards hooks on each side of the aisle. Been holding out on buying them till I find the best deal!

    Your centerpieces are so cute!

Why don't you try get paper/ silk leaves (big ones) and then have one just kind of leaning up against the lantern with the table number on? If you get what I'm trying to say.

I'm loving all of these! I'm on my phone and can't post pics of mine but we are doing tree slices and lanterns too. I think we are going to take some more wood and burn the table numbers in for ours. Though I still don't know and we are getting so close... Ahhhh

Maybe stand the handle straight up and hot glue a number to each side.. That's way it's standing higher and can be seen better?

The more I see of the tree slices idea the more I like them. And wood burning numbers sounds perfect! My lanterns came from hobby lobby if there is one near you. They go on sale 50% off every other week and have a great selection. Mine ended up being 3 bucks each.

Thanks ladies. Ikea was the best deal I've seen on lanterns, but I'll keep an eye out for hobby lobby's sales! Thanks again!
