I'm studying to be a nurse, so I can't ever bring myself to write "BM, haha. Gotta spell it out all the way!

What do you think about when someone says "STD?" Haha

I'm not a nurse, and that's still the first thing I think, so it isn't just you!

STD isn't much better! My FH goes to a tech school called "STI" and that's even worse. They named the school before the medical world changed the term for STD... I'm guessing.

I'm not a nurse, but I still double take when I read "STD" and "BM!"

Nurse here - I used to crack up at staples when they would page "BM line 1" "BM register 2"... they meant Business Machines (computer stuff really)

I know!!! I'm in healthcare too. every time I see STD or BM it takes me a second. every. single. time.

BM and STD mess me up too. It always takes me a minute.

Not wedding related...but after my ex and I broke up he got one of those Subaru WRX STI cars. He used to brag to people that he had an STI...and I'd internally giggle.

My initials are BM and that's all I ever see when I initial things at work.

I was excited knowing I will be BA when we get married.

However FH goes by his middle name which starts with an "M" so together we are BM.
