Restaurant ceremony & reception in Miami, fl or vicinity

M, on October 24, 2018 at 9:32 PM Posted in Florida Planning 0 3
Hello. Planning an intimate wedding ceremony and reception for 30 guests. Looking for a restaurant that has private room. Wanted a hotel or banquet hall but almost all have a minimum of 50 guests.
Very intimate, just close family. This would be our 2nd marriage. We are in our 50's so nothing over the top....no dancing, etc. Just nice and classy without breaking the bank. Looking at $50 p/p maybe nice lunch or dinner with a nice view.
Anyone doing a restaurant wedding in the area?
Trying to find a venue/restaurant area Homeasted to Ft. Lauderdale.
Thank you

Hi! I live in south florida and it's quite hard to find something for under 100 people. Here are some options I found.. I'm not sure of pricing so if it comes out too expensive then sorry for the offering:

Villa Azur Restaurant & Lounge in South Beach
    Hard Rock Cafe Miami
    Mai Kai Restaurant- Ft. Lauderdale
Sonesta Hotel- Coconut Grove, nice view
Rusty Pelican- Key Biscayne, nice view
    Doral Park Country Club
Deering Bay Yacht and Country Club
    Bahia Mar- Fort Lauderdale
Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay- I saw this has a $52 played dinner option.

Like I said, I'm not sure for the pricing on most of these but most have a nice view.

Hi M! Have you had the chance to look through the WeddingWire vendor directory? You can peruse vendors and venues using filters like guest capacity and venue type. I started a search of restaurant wedding venues in the Fort Lauderdale area and two of the first three options looked promising! I'd also take a look at restaurant sites like OpenTable or even Yelp and see if anything there piques your fancy. Smiley smile

Is there any particular type of cuisine you'd like the restaurant to serve?

    Hi,

Congrats! A lot of the prices you see for hotels and banquet halls are based on 100 ppl and a lot of times, charge more when it's less than 100. I would suggest something more along the lines of a restaurant that would accommodate 50 ppl. Maybe if the restaurant is small enough you can rent out the whole place for the evening (which would give you privacy and still be economical).

The Rusty Pelican is a really nice place with beautiful views.

Some restaurants in Coral Gables are small (rentable for a night buyout).
