Question for the Private Ceremony Brides (20 guests or less)...

MyBBLife, on August 11, 2016 at 9:18 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

Are you sending formal invites? Our ceremony will include parents of the FH and I, my grandparents, and our closest friends, all of whom we usually talk to 1-2 times per week. It will be very informal with just the ceremony and cake and punch afterwards (our "celebration of marriage" is in April). Everyone already knows the details, so I wasn't going to send formal invites, but I'm kinda thinking about doing it now. What are you ladies doing? Everyone else chime in as well. :-)

We're having maybe 10-15 more guests than 20 however I do plan on sending formal invites. My family will appreciate the thought that goes into receiving them. The upside is I needed minimal invites so they were fairly cheap. Or you could get extra fancy with them and still not spend a ton. Totally up to you!

Thanks ladies! I decided to order some! Took advantage of the Groupon wedding paper divas and got an additional 40 percent off the groupon deal as well. $100 to spend for $30 which was MORE than enough! Even splurged and hired someone to do calligraphy for the envelopes :-)

We're planning on a guest list of 20-30, so pretty close. We are still doing formal invitations, and even STDs since it's a destination wedding. I'm looking forward to it, we shouldn't need more than like 10.

Getting an invitation in the mail is always awesome, even if you already have been verbally invited and know all the details. It's a great keepsake too.

My brother and SIL only invited immediate family (about 10 people) to theirs and they did formal invites. It's still a wedding and I think people (especially grand parents) would appreciate it.

We will have 20 people and are doing formal invitations as a keepsake. Shutterfly has a wedding section (wedding paper divas) and everything is 50% off right now!
