Planning Wedding in 4 months 10 days!!

Mrs.L, on May 2, 2013 at 4:23 AM Posted in Planning 0 6

Orginal Wedding Date Was Feb. 8th 2014. Fh and I decided we wanted baby number two soon so we decided to move up our date. Our venue only had one day this summer left which was on a thursday.. We said fine, we'll take it. People are already requesting days off and talking about when they'll be flying. We havent even sent the STDs (going out Monday) but they know about the wedding frm us asking for addresses. Im estatic that a thurs wedding isnt going to be a problem for our guest! buuuttt...Omg!! Planning is not fun! I got my dress last weekend (having second thoughts though ugh) STDs going out Monday, Wedding site almost done, Venue is inclusive so I just have a few vendors to pick out which I already did, jst need to put the deposits down which will be done within two weeks. I feel like I have everything organized, but at the same time I feel like I dont!! I think its just the amout of money we will be spending in such a short time.... My budget is 25k but im prob going to go over...

I guess jst spending all that money in 4 months is scarier than spening it in like 10 months..... Plus i cant believe im second guessing my dress!!! The fabric is satin and I orginally wanted organza. I guess I felt the pressure of buying sooner than later..Im at the point of just getting another one and selling the one I bought since there is no exchanges or refunds allowed. I bought at alfred alfredos.. I should have shopped around more. But I was told at demetrios if I found something I would already have to pay for rush delivery since my date is so close and that scared me. I dont know if all bridal stores are the same cus I did not shop around. Huge mistake!!! Does anyone know if I can still get another dress and have time for it to arrive and if I need any alterations???? I just want to be inlove with my dress and to be honest.... im not....

Relax, take a chill pill and enjoy the moment. If your venue is all inclusive, chances are all the little details are taken care of.

Use the online tools that WeddingWire offers, as well as those your other vendors provide.

    Good luck

    And don't forget to breathe!

I'm pulling mine together in 5 months. It is stressful and all-consuming, that's for sure, but you can do it!! Especially if your venue includes a lot of things. That should simplify things a lot. Good luck!

Some bridal stores will allow you to buy their sample dresses off the rack at a discount. I would have 2-3 months for alterations in case you need a few fittings and if your wedding is during a busy time.
