Paper Rose Tutorials...HALP!

I'm making all my own flowers, and these directions are SO easy.

For mine, I'm using flower wire (and possibly some sticks), flower tape. I'm threading a small pearl colored bead on the flower wire, folding the wire in half so that the bead is at the fold, putting the wire through the base of the rose, so that the bead will be in the center of the rose.

It takes a couple to practice, but I swear, it is really easy!!

Martha Stewart has one that I've done and they are beautiful. Kind of time consuming but, I loved them so much I made a batch for my living room.

Anyone use something other than hot glue for these?

I really don't want to buy a hot glue gun that I won't ever use after this.

We did kusudama's. They were tedious but very easy to do.

We used crazy glue rather than hot glue.

I found hot glue to be the easiest, and it seemed to dry faster. I know I got my glue gun for maybe $5 or $10 at Michael's.

I don't know if I have the patience for this. lol

I'm going to try this weekend at home, and I have a coupon for Michaels that I can use on Sunday for 40% off.

Good thing I have a month!!! I'm so frustrated! The bead doesn't sit where I want it to, and I've tried the spiral method AND the "cut the petals out and cone the paper" method, and they both look janky. lol But I have an idea, and I just CANNOT do this at work when I have to multitask.
