Online rsvp - where to write?

on January 17, 2019 at 2:33 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
We are planning to do online RSVPs since our whole crew is tech savvy. Where do we put this? I'm scared on the back of invite would get missed. And no, I'm not including a separate card, that's $100 I can use more efficiently.

What about putting the rsvp info on a business card in the envelope? I saw someone post that on here the other day. It’s a lot cheaper than a details card and you won’t have to worry about if guests looked at the back of your invite.

Hey there! I think it depends on the layout of your invitations. I would put it toward the bottom of the invite. For example, say this were your invitation:

I would scoot everything up a little more and include a line like "Please RSVP at (weddingwebsite) by February 1."

I did put all of that information on the back of my invite (for the same reason you state - all the extra $ went for late night snacks). I honestly had zero problems with that. I received no complaints, no one didn't RSVP and then mention anything related when I reached out to them, etc. I had like 85% of my RSVPs in by the due date (which is good according to feedback on this site). I put my invites in the envelopes backward so people opened them seeing the back so perhaps that helped.

Is it possible to just write "please RSVP on our website at ....." on the bottom of the invite?

Just list the link to your wedding website at the bottom of the invitation. I’m tech savvy and assume all wedding have websites or at least registries online nowadays so I just look for a link on the invite somewhere before I stick it on our fridge. Front or back doesn’t matter. But front is more visible and no one cares if it’s on the front.

We’re doing a small insert in our invitations. Just going to diy those to save $, but don’t want to cram too much into our invites either. We will have a lot of info on the insert and website bc our wedding will be a weekend long camp out. More details to cover
