We're dog people. I have two, FH has two. They're all old, except for my kelpie who is 11 and acts like she's 2. His two have arthritis, his male is on thyroid meds, and an anti-inflammatory because he has some kind of degenerative spine thing (we're not convinced he didn't have a stroke, honestly). His two cannot interact with my two, which is one reason he bought us a ginormous house, so the dogs can be 'zoned'. Mine live on the first floor, his live on the third in his man cave and our bedroom. Letting them out is a 35 minute process of locking one set up, escorting the other set out, rinse and repeat 3x a day. Unfortunately, this also makes going away for us difficult because it takes a special person willing to go through those shenanigans to pet sit for us. His cousin was willing to do it for our honeymoon, but now that his male has this spine thing, he has a hard time on the stairs because his hind legs don't work so well. (TBC)
