No location on invitation, ok or not?

We haven’t been able to book a venue yet, every time we think we have one something happens. Our wedding is in in September and I’d really like to send out invitations, would it be inappropriate to have that the location is to be announced?

Well that is what the save the date is for. You need the address for the invites I know you are excited but that can cause confusing and all this planning you don't need that. Do save the dates then send out the invites when everything is booked.

Send save the dates. That way people will know the day but the other details can be left out
