Is there beading on the back of the dress? I have a dress that is similiar with the beading and I am thinking about a waltz (knee) length veil because of where the beading falls so it can still be seen. If there is no beading on the back, I would say a fingertip veil would work as well. I would avoid the elbow as it could interfere with the beading.

Do you have a picture of the back? I'm personally a fan of fingertip veils with dresses that have a lot of detail to "accent" the dress rather than take away from the dress. Yet, if are doing a single layer cathedral length veil, that would be stunning with this dress too. It's more so what you are comfortable in.

Id say if your in love with catherdral you should go for it! I love them! the longer the better to me. lol Now I was told if your dress has lots of detail in the back, you dont want to take away from it, but I said, its see-through! lol I want what I want. LOL Needless to say, my veil is catherdral. lol I think with your dress either one would be fine. I cant see the back of the dress but from what I see you could work with catherdral or elbow length veil.

Whatever you do, make sure it you can take it out and do it before the reception.

I had a cathedral length veil for my first wedding and by the time the day was over I hated it!!! 150 ppl getting snagged everytime they hugged me.

Here is a picture of the back. It does have some beading. Especially on the train. Thats why im not really sure as the beading on the bodice goes down into the skirt so im thinking the veil is going to have to be plain maybe ribbon edge but thats about it...

OOO, pretty dress Megan. I agree with the other ladies. If you have your heart set on cathedral length. Then Go for it. I think a plain one w/o beading would look gorgeous with your dress. I had one and I LOVED mine. I too took mine off at the reception. And this picture is one of my Favs of me and DH.

I think your safe with any size veil. I really wanted a long train when thinking of my dress but then found my dress and the train is somewhat smaller than what I always envisioned. I am getting the cathedral length veil so I have the feeling of the long train which I think it also looks elegant going down the aisle. I am also taking it off for the reception Smiley smile

Just wear a veil that is either shorter or longer than the point where the decoration is on the back of the dress that way people can see it through the sheer veil. you can make one really cheap. I have made several for family members. I know a few people who have bought at light in the box. It takes a long time to get things in from them about 30 days is what I have heard.
