Well let's say its my very first DIY project lol I'm maken my own cupcake and dessert holders for my backyard wedding and I thought I'd do a test run and see how it would come out and I made one for Christmas with some Xmas color glitter gold and red for some Xmas cupcakes for the kids I think it...

Well let's say its my very first DIY project lol I'm maken my own cupcake and dessert holders for my backyard wedding and I thought I'd do a test run and see how it would come out and I made one for Christmas with some Xmas color glitter gold and red for some Xmas cupcakes for the kids I think it came out ok what do you girls think I think when I make the ones for my wedding though ima do them in silver glitter though

    One thing you might consider is going to a party store and buying a pre-made, plain, plastic cake stand and dressing it up from there. It sounds like a lot of work to find the plates and glue them together. Once you have your plastic party cake stand, tape off what you don't want painted, spray paint and seal what you do want painted, and then find a cute topper to go on a small piece of cake at the top.

    I love what you've done, and I think pp have given you some good ideas for improvement...my suggestion is just to make your life a bit easier/save your sanity. By no means am I trying to discourage you.

    I'm agreeing with everyone that says use different size plates! I had an Alice in Wonderland tea party for my birthday last year( dream of mine since I was a kid) haha and I made them. I learned that you have to be careful with the glue you use. Some of mine kept falling apart! Good luck!! That one is super cute for Christmas!! Smiley smile
