Even though my stepdad doesnt want us to have open bar, im pretty set on it. It's SORT OF a destination wedding since it's not even in town, so everyone is making effort just to go to the wedding! They deserve some liquor! Im still asking the venue what the deal is on alcohol and stuff, because quite frankly im confused. On the website, they say we can only get alcohol from a specific company (and it's THEIR company it turns out) but when i asked them if we can send mixed drinks to the ladies while getting ready (mango mojitos mmm mmm mm!) he said "Any mixed drink that you serve is fine, we just need to get a permit if you are serving hard liquor."
So ... what does this mean? Can we buy our own beer and serve it? Or do we have to get everything approved by them? It's confusing because we told them we wanted honey mead at the wedding (viking tradition!) and he said he would to find some for us.
