menu for buffet?

barrelracinSH, on February 3, 2014 at 1:50 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9

Do folks normally make a menu for buffets? Just wondering so I can start looking if needed.

I thought about it, but I think it's just an extra expense that we'll end up skipping. Smiley smile

I've never seen a buffet with a menu and keep in mind, I used to work for a catering company that catered up to 6 weddings a weekend, all buffets. People don't spend money on it.

I am having a buffet and im going to make one big chalk board menu of what all is on the buffet, and the sign will be up before the guests first arrive so they can look at during the cocktail hour if they want I guess to know what they are eating. The menu/sign is more like a decoration for me lol

I think I'm also doing a sign to save money on menus that no one will care to even look at. Save the money and splurge elsewhere!

You don't need a menu, but I would find it helpful if the food is labeled, such that right in front of the chicken dish, it says it is chicken marsala or something.

You don't have to have a menu. I am having a buffet and making menus for the tables because I like the way it looks for pictures and so people with young kids can see what the kids will want before they get up to the food.
