Married ladies: The wedding is over, why are you still on WW?

Haha! So addicted! Wasn't on much the past couple days though and might be on less as the semester starts (I teach).

Well, it's a fun break in the day. I feel like we discuss NWR stuff too, and I like hearing a wide variety of people's opinions on things - not just people from my social circle. It's fun to branch out and meet new people you might not otherwise meet! So I like just saying hello and seeing what's up with people I feel like I "know." And I do want to see people's weddings coming up, too. And I did SO much research and work on wedding stuff, I have some random knowledge that will just go to waste otherwise. Might as well share if it saves someone else time or money. Kind of a pay-it-forward.

Also I won't lie, I get a kick out of AWing my own wedding stuff. Hey, there are things I spent months planning and working on, and some of it turned out meh, but some of it turned out great! I know that probably makes me a total brat. But, whatever. It's fun. And I KNOW I'm not the only one who feels that way! Fess up, people.

I like to think after going through this experience I might have something to offer people who are about to get married. Plus, it's so fun to see all the different types of weddings that exist!

I like keeping up with my online friends. Thats the main motivator for me. Also, maybe make new ones!

Its' the newlywed section..besides ill still stay on after I get married also..we have all bonded on here..

I have odd hours, and no one to talk to lol. Plus DH is not home, so I don't even have him to talk to or do anything with, and a girl who doesn't really love clubbing can only clubbing with her friends so often y'know. You ladies are another support system, and you can never have too many of those.

I'm not married yet, but I know I'm sticking around after the wedding. I really enjoy chatting with you ladies, I won't give it up just because I'm married! I'm looking forward to being able to contribute with the perspective of someone who's been through it as well.

Awesome answers ladies, and I think something about each one of your answers should hold true to us all. I may ween myself slowly, but I don't think I will ever get off completely. I am looking at making this a profession, so I have to stay up with the latest wedding trends and new ideas all the time!

I've been here too long to just up and leave. It did cross my mind but I know I'd end up back within a week lol.

While I am not a married lady, but a wedding cancelled lady. With all that happened with my wedding/FH/whatnot in the last few months I viewed these ladies as the only non-bias person I knew. I am not on daily like I used to be (as a soon to be bride) but I want to check back in and see how the days of my favorite ladies have turned out.

I think I'm just used to checking the forums when I'm bored.... Idk how to end the planning part of my life I did it for over a year. Lol

@ Mrs. J-Mo, I know what you mean, I think I am having planning withdrawals, it's hard to stop cold turkey, lol.

How many of us go to a bar, club to meet people??? I am pretty sure, NOT MANY ... & for me, I dont do bars at all, unless its with my work clients ...

so at this age, we really just meet people thru school if anyone is in school or work ..

so this is another way I think of meeting some new friends.. & we ALL have or had 1 thing at least in common at some point..

WW is awesome!!! & after the wedding is over, I will still come on here, especially when I am at work & my day is dragging... haha

I love 99.9% of the ladies on here ...

& without the ladies on here, I would most likely would had to hire someone to plan my wedding.. but because of all of you, I made things, re-made, & then re-made them again, until it came out perfect & its all because of everyone on here opionions..

Irchykk, these ladies have some great ideas, and my budget went up because of these ladies giving me more must have ideas. Thanks to them, I have gotten nothing but compliments about my wedding.

I like to keep in contact with the girls i met, see what they're up too, meet new girls. oh, & i LOVE giving advice to the newbies.

I wasn't on WW before my wedding (unfortunately!!). I found it afterwards because I was going through serious wedding-planning withdrawal and needed an outlet. I've stayed because I like feeling like I can help somebody out now and then, and I like to see what other people have done/are doing for their weddings, especially the people I've communicated with.
