Okay so we set the date for 10/10/2020 because we want to have enough time to make things just the way we want them. We're both very high maintenance amd picky and also coming from two different worlds and meshing an array of different traditions together and hoping theh flow. Anyways can I plan...

I started planning about 2 years out. We are big planners and we wanted to have lots of options. Even that far out, we had some vendors already booked up for our date! But in general 2 years was the perfect amount of time.

For most things it's too far out.

I would focus on creating a budget/saving, figuring out how many people you can afford to host, researching venues, and getting rough ideas for what you want for your wedding.

You definitely have a lot of time, so far this is the first 2020 wedding I've seen on here. I would say it's too early to plan anything. I'm 11 months out which feels too early to plan for me, but it's not. I would use this time to search out vendors and the details for your day, don't do any meetings or sign anything for a while.

You have plenty of time obviously, so no need to rush anything but I can say I started planning a little over two years out and I'm SO glad I did. Early bird gets the worm! Many people will tell you it's too early, but from my experience by planning early I got every vendor I wanted and NONE were booked yet! Only things I would wait on is the bridal party (relationships might change) and dress (body/style can change). As far as vendors go, start browsing, see who you might want, get information and see how far out in advance they book.

It's too early. I'll just say what I always say on these things. You can start setting your budget, you have a lot of time so you could potentially save up for big things if you wanted. You can research venues and photographers...but don't settle for anything just yet. In two years time a new thing that you like better could pop up.
