Denisia, on August 31, 2016 at 9:24 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 79

I have been cool with my in-laws for the last 7 yrs. Because we decided to get married I chose my best friends for my bridesmaids and now there's an issue with my in-laws lovely....#not my problem.

So are you saying that they're giving you shit because you didn't choose FH's sister?

I did try to include her I asked him could she be mine wedding coordinator basically to keep me organized and make sure that the Bridesmaids and maid of honor are doing what they're supposed to do and then help me with the wet and making sure everyone is in their place at the end this is my first one and so didn't know about different choices except for bridesmaids

At this point I do not want her in my wedding she stormed out and my dress fitting day at David's Bridal in front of the whole store and by this time she had already knew she wasn't part of my wedding she just wanted to make a scene

What are the MOH and BM's supposed to be doing besides showing up in an affordable dress mostly sober on your wedding day????

What you asked her to do is called a wedding planner/coordinator. You don't ask friends and family to do this. No wonder she's pissed.

Yeah you weren't giving her a place of honor, you were trying to get her to work for free.

I'd be upset too if you asked me to be an employee on your wedding day. I'd rather just be an uninvolved guest.

If that's the way she felt that she should have said it a month ago because that's what I asked not today of my dress fitting

I didn't have a place for her to go in the wedding because my best friends were already my bridesmaids

Yep, that's the best way to keep those family relations going strong.

Can your FH not put her on his side?

Did you already sign a contract with her for her wedding planning services?

    Um...ok?

I'd be pissed if you expected me to be your wedding coordinator without paying me too. You hire those, you don't ask your friends and family to do that for you.

If you didn't want her to be a bridesmaid, then that should have been the end of it. You don't need to find work for her to make her feel included.

Well tell me what would you have had your sister-in-law doing if your bridesmaids have already been picked

I would have her as a guest or have FH put her on his side if they are close. I wouldn't have any of my guests working my wedding.
