If You were a guest what would you like?

What would you guys like or appreciate as wedding favours? I need ideas lol. I guess it's a bit hard thinking of something everyone would like!

I am having a spring wedding and this is why I thought since it has been such a gloomy and dreary winter, I got wildflower seed packets for people to plant. We got the seed packets personalized but I wanted everyone to have something that they could look at that would be springy and beautiful that would remind them of our wedding Smiley smile

I never really noticed favors until I started wedding planning, and now every wedding I go to, I notice so many people don't take them.

I agree anything edible, but I would recommend against homemade.

My friend made homemade Limoncello for her favors, each place card had a mini bottle attached to it. It's a cute idea, and I believe my friend made every effort to keep her house clean while preparing it, but I didn't watch her make it. Did she rinse the bottles beforehand, or fill them up how they came out of the package? How clean were her dishes, etc. There were like 50 left at the end of the night. I felt bad because she put so much effort into it, so we took one, but just dumped it when we got home.

We are doing cupcakes instead of cake and plan to have some take-out containers for people to take an extra cupcake home if they want. That's the closest to favors we plan to do. Favors are a waste of money and time in my opinion. Most people don't take them or want them. We will spend the money elsewhere.

Favors aren’t necessary. But if you really want to do them, something edible: cake pop, cookie, rice crispy bar, chocolate truffle, mini honey, cookie.

In lieu of favors, we made a donation to the animal rescue that we go our puppy from and both of our companies matched our donation. All of our friends & family are animal lovers - many with their own rescue animals - so we figured this is more meaningful and useful than small items or food that half the guests wont even use.

Before we decided this, I was going to do 2 inch succulents - easy to take care of this plant, and many of my guests LOVE succulents

I might be odd on this one! I think edible favors are great, I think honey is one that's a little easier and so cute. Also I've seen the little smore gift bags which I love.

For me, I am thinking either one of those, but I also love the idea of candles! Maybe it's just me but I LOVE candles, and no way I would leave one behind!

My sister in law just went to a wedding where everyone got a bag of popcorn to bring to the after party. She said everyone loved it

I definitely prefer it to be usable, but I don't mind a wedding without favors. I'm honestly quite tired of koozies, I end up tossing them or they go up in a box in the closet. We are having a photobooth that they can take their unlimited amount of photos from, so we decided no favors. We will, however, have treat bags for leftover cake and donuts.

I am doing fancy cookies mine are heart shaped and one is decorated as a bride, the other a groom. I am paying $3 each cookie. I also had cute tags made so everyone knows they are the thank you’s and they will be on everyone’s place setting already and can be enjoyed whenever

My bridesmaid works as an event planner and she said the best favor idea she ever saw was providing to-go coffee cups (with the couple's names and date printed on them just for fun) and then little bags of cookies. This way guests can take coffee to go from the venue for their drive home, and have cookies to snack on in the car too Smiley smile

Daughter & SIL are huge chocolate chip cookie fans. They did two of the Costco big chocolate chip cookies sealed in a 4" cello bag (from Michael's) with a sticker that had their wedding logo and a message that said, "Thanks for sharing in our day! Love, Mr & Mrs _____." The venue staff tucked them into the "cummerbund-folded" napkin at each place setting. There weren't any leftover at the end of the night. I think they cost less than 75 cents a piece to make, and it took us about 2 hours to put 110 of them together.

Personally I don’t see the point in favors. We’re not giving them out. But if you want to, and I was a guest, I’d prefer something that didn’t have your names or pictures on them. I honestly have no need for that and it will likely just get thrown away.

I, as a guest, prefer no favors. I have allergies to cinnamon and ginger. The non edible stuff is just clutter to me and the edible stuff might kill me.

If you absolutely must do favors, Sugarfina small candy packets is awesome and about 2.50 a head. Possibly cheaper if it's a large wedding.

I don’t think favors are necessary. A meal and a positive memory is already being provided.

I don't think they're necessary either, but I thought they're still fun to have, so I might go with a cute snack or something haha
