How did y'all meet??

My FH and I met on match.com. After a month of talking and skyping, I flew to Alaska to spend some time with him. He is in the service and is stationed up here. A month later he came to WI for my sisters graduation party and we drove my car through Canada to move myself up here. He messaged me first and it was actually my first day on the site.

I met my fiance on zoosk He messaged me, I took a few days to respond, but we talked back and forth for awhile. It was almost spooky, how much we had in common! Anyway, we met up and hit it off well. He asked me to be his girlfriend in May, and to be his wife over Easter. Faster than he ever thought, we fell in love. He loves all the truly weird and quirky things about me, and I the same with him.

I met FH back in the days when AIM was still a thing. A girl we were mutual acquaintances with sent me a message asking if I would talk to this boy she liked to see if he liked her back, I was bored, so I started messaging him and we really hit it off. Little did I know that he had hacked her computer and could see everything she was doing so knew I was going to talk to him. Here we are 11 years later

I did martial arts for a few years. One day, one of the black belts finally got his friend to visit the studio after months of begging. They "tricked" together, so the black belt thought martial arts would be of interest for his friend. I met the friend and we instantly clicked! We became best friends and did everything together. After a few years, we started dating. We did martial arts together and now we're planning our lives together. A bit anticlimactic, but if FH never went to the studio, I never would have met him!

OkCupid! I had just moved to a new city and I wasn't looking for anything serious. He was, although we kept things fairly light in the beginning so I didn't really realize it at first. Now we always joke about how he tricked me into falling in love when all I wanted to do was bang the boy with the pretty eyes and the sweet smile.

Short version- he started volunteering at my fire station and after 2 years being acquaintances and not socializing much, that all dissolved, we became friends and all of a sudden we realized we were dating and madly in love and knew surprisingly fast we were meant for each other

I also met my FH online.. and after not meeting up with him the first time we planned it, we didn't talk for 4 months.

He later came up as a "person you may know" on fb since I still had his number... and so we started talking again.

The next time we planned to meet I had to cancel unexpectedly. & felt terrible!

He stuck around for a 3rd planned date...

Dec 11, 2014 and we've never looked back! Can't wait to marry him.

I met my fh at a bar. It was my son's bday and i played on a pool league. I was going to miss that night but he made me go and my fh was on the opposing team. He knew of me and my cooking from mutual friends. (He says he wanted me for my food before he met me) I just wanted to have fun and he told me i had to be his girlfriend. Over 3 yrs later and we are living together and planning a wedding.

You know what they always say about not dating a coworker...well, 4.5 years ago FH and I met at our first internship during college. There was a bunch of chemistry there and about 4 months in, we started dating. Luckily, we both attended the same college so after the internship was over we easily transitioned back to school.

FH and I met at college. We officially met in our chemistry class but, we were in marching band together throughout college. So I mean, I guess I met him during band camp but, I never talked to him until classes started his freshman year. FH and I didn't start dating though until his 2nd semester. I actually never wanted to date him because he isn't my type but, everyone pushed me to give him a chance because he had the biggest crush on me. Well, 6 years later, we're engaged and getting married next year. Haha.

I met my FH through a mutual friend. I also worked with his twin brother for 2 years before I even ever met my fiancé.

He found me on social media and he worked with my best friend and she kinda played match maker. I was not looking for anything serious at the time and thought "what the heck, it'll be a nice summer romance!"

We met on "Words with Friends". He kicked my butt multiple times before he finally messaged me... lol Long story short, we were both going through divorces and became best friends. Helped each other through the hard times over the phone/text. About 10 months later (well after the divorces were final) we started dating long distance. After 6 months he moved from Alabama to be with me in Kentucky. Then 6 months after that he proposed with a "Words with Friends" game board.

Awww love it! We met at work. Also anti-climactic. I was engaged at the time but we became fast work friends. It took me almost a year and a half to figure out he liked me. At that point i had broken my engagement to my first fiance (he even helped me move out - I should have known) and after a bold move and a couple of beers one day after the office closed early my FH told me Jason Aldean "Show you off" made him think of me every time he heard it and that he had a crush on me since he met me on my first day of work. Now, a year and a half later we're engaged.

FH & I have known each other for 15 years , we lived on the same street when our kids were little & played together . Years later he sent me a friend request on Facebook no other lol & we've kept in touch on there (being single @ this point). Our birthdays are 3 days apart & we would make sure to tell each other hbd every year. My oldest son was murdered & he would always check on me on FB ....Years later I made a post & he commented something that made me ask him "Do you like me" .. We exchanged # & 2 months later he asked me to be his Wife & we will be making it official in May of next year !!

My story? I met him in a smoky bar (yes, cigarettes -- and shots, and other things -- were a part of our time and culture back in 1979). He was beautiful, but needed help with his hair, lol. His eyes were China blue -- still are -- and his bone structure was perfect (he's passed that onto our children along with his blue eyes), but that brown hair was a wirey mess -- something I wanted to work on, lol. His fashion sense sucked, but that didn't bother me. That's easily fixed. I liked his voice, his demeanor, and his sense of confidence. I liked almost everything about him, and when he told me, on our first date, that I was the most beautiful girl in the bar -- someone he thought he didn't have a chance with, but he wouldn't know unless he tried -- he gained a few points, lol. Confidence - that's the name of the game.

We celebrated our 35th anniversary last January.

My husband and I met when we were 19 through some friends. Some girls at my college invited me out to a hookah bar. I'm not a smoker so I didn't really want to go but one of the girls was begging me to come with her because she had invited her crush, so I gave in and went. (Boy am I glad I did!) Well, her crush ended up being best friends with my husband and invited him along, too. He actually almost didn't go either--his friend was planning to invite someone else to be his wingman, but they canceled so DH went in his place. He caught my attention from the moment I laid eyes on him (and apparently the feeling was mutual) but I was shy so I didn't know how to approach him. At first, we were sitting across the room from each other but he slowly made his way over until he was right next to me. We totally hit it off and stayed up until 6am in my car talking. The rest was history!
