Hair Piece Opinions - Help

Anne&Tim, on July 1, 2009 at 11:26 AM Posted in Planning 0 16

Im having a dilema. Its hot here & my hair wont hold a curl in humidity so Ive decided to just do a hair piece & save the stress & money, after 3 trials I gave up. None of my friends will give me an honest answer & I always know I can get honesty here. I found 2 hair pieces I really like but Im torn. One is a little shorter w/ a tighter curl then the other, but both are gorgeous. My hair is pretty long & the lady said the shorter one may not cover my own hair (which isnt a big deal since i can always pull it up a little under the piece) The longer one is my length but Im not sure if its just "over the top". I want something believable, yet pretty! I cant put a link of my own hair here but its on my board under trials here are the two ebay links. of course it wont have a headband LOL

I like the second "shorter" one - that's gorgeous. First one does seem to be a little much.

    My two cents. Smiley smile

I would choose the 2nd one. The curls are not as tight on this one and look more natural. It also does not seem as heavy as the first one.

Ok I also like the second one but I was wondering (and its probably a stupid question) do you wear your regular hair in the front? Because it never shows the front of it and I don't know about those things...its probably supposed to be worn just on the back of your head? and what if the color is off?? I am curious is all....

I'd go for the longer one if it's closer to what you've already got.

Its not a stupid question Penny..you first comb a section of your own hair forwad then the piece goes at the crown of your hair and then you comb your hair back over it and blend. Color could be off but i went and had mine matched ...its never dead on...but its close enough since we all have so many colors in our natural hair

Penny if you want to see how it looks in action check out my profile and wedding pics. I wore a hair piece for my wedding and it worked out perfectly!

Anne I think that which ever is closest to your natural hair length would be the one to go with. Remember that if your hair were curled like this it'd be shorter. I actually cut my hair piece to be more exact to my real hair length so no one would tell the difference.

I would base it on what your dress looks like, if it has a low back go witht he long (LOVE it!) if the back is higher perhaps the short.... They're both great and you will look fantastic either way!

Ok now I understand...lol..Laura yours looked great you can't even tell. and I guess these won't lose any curl no matter how hot huh? Well hell maybe I ought to check into these too! My hair will be flat as a board within minutes in this 115 degree heat!

Which is exactly why Im doing it. We have the same excruciating heat and humidity here in Florida so Im going for the "non-stress" route. Its a sure thing with this. And NO, it never loses its curl. Even after you wash it, it bounces back to its shape
