Why do you need to weed it down further, you are currently at 199? Also, who are you in relation to the bride and groom? Or are you talking in third person? ETA: Are you asking how to reduce the groom's side more so he can invite his friends?

Cut cousins, kids, aunts, uncles, co workers, anyone you don't talk to once every three months, parents' friends you don't know, people you don't like, random plus ones.

If it's someone we didn't talk to in 3 years, or hang out with, we didn't invite them.

Trying to weed down cause we don't have any of his friends (and he has a ton of close friends) I'm the bride talking in 3rd person to make it a little easier to understand

Here are some questions that might help reduce the list:

"If they live locally have you seen them in the past year?"

"If they are OOT, have you had a meaningful conversation with them in the past year?"

"Would you truly miss their presence, or are you inviting them out of obligation?"
