False Eyelashes??

Anonymous, on April 29, 2012 at 11:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Has anyone ever used false eyelashes? If so, what brand do you recommend because I want to use them for the wedding.

I don't know what brand was used but my MUA used them on my wedding day. I have super sensitive eyes and after a little while, I couldn't feel them.

Have you ever worn or applied fake lashes yourself?

I don't know what brand my MUA used either, but they were the individual lashes instead of the strips... I highly recommend them over the strips, WAY more natural!

Yeah, I had some of the individual ones in my trial...you couldn't tell I had added anything AND you couldn't feel them or see them, which I thought would be weird.

I have had strips and individuals. I prefer the individual ones personally. They are light on the eye and like Jen, you can't see or feel them, but they make a very dramatic difference to the shape of your eyes. Unfortunately, I don't know what brand my MUA used.

I've used both. I don't really care for the strips and the individual ones pulls off your real eyelashes. Still, I prefer the individuals-they last longer.

I will be going with the individual ones. I have never done it before so I will be doing it about 2 weeks before my wedding. So I can get use to them. Not sure how long they last, may have to get them refilled before. I will have to ask when I get them.

I love false eye lashes, but I would advise that you get the individual lashes, but have someone apply them for you! If your worried about them have a trial a few weeks before and make sure you feel comfortable with them on (and they last!) thats what i plan to do!

I read in a magazine while working our that Christina Aguilera uses Ardell wispies. I have never used any myself but was going to try some on to see if I could do them since I have to do my own make up.

Be careful ladies! The ones lasts for 6 to 8 weeks are bad!! After the six weeks you will see a big change in ur natural lashes, as they will start falling and you will be forced to re-apply the false ones. Please think twice before you damage your natural eye lashes "forever" for few hours.. it's not worth it.

Thanks everyone! I will definitely look into individual lashes! It's sad that my fiance's eyelashes are fuller than mine! haha

Only use them on the upper lid and toward the outter corner of your eyes. It's all you need to add drama and flair and is less damaging to your natural lashes. Just brush mascera over them w/your lashes and you;d be surprised how easily they blend and how much drama they add, even just a few will do the trick.

I had false eyelashes put on by my MUA...she used ones from MAC.

I didn't have individual ones...I had the strips...they worked just fine...if applied correctly, you won't even notice them or feel them.

I rarely wear makeup and NEVER wear fake eyelashes, so I thought these would be frustrating to get used to...but I had no clue they were there.

Individual eye lashes will take more time to apply.

I'd recommend getting both and testing both out before your wedding day.

I do know with strips, if you're not having a MUA apply them for you...you will need to cut them down so they fit to your eye.

I included a picture of me without fake eyelashes so you can see the difference.

@cydney wow you look beautiful!!! Congrats on your special day! My makeup artist used Model 21 Eyelashes, I loved them so much that I started buying them myself. 10 pairs in a box for like $8. Here's their site http://www.model21falseeyelashes.com
