Clutches instead of flowers.... ideas???

Jennifer, on February 6, 2013 at 1:51 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

Any ideas on how to DIY decorate some cute clutches for a wedding? my colors are purples/lavender and silver, and it's in may.... would it look wrong if i had flowers and the BP didnt?

does anyone know where i could order some for less than $25 each?? I need 4.

We are soooo on the same page. I am having flowers.. my BM are not.

I got these at Davids Bridal - on clearance and added some "brooches" from the jewlery making section at Joann Fabrics.

    And the other two.

I had to cut some of the loops off the jewlery part.. but just sewed them on.

Made them all different so they knew who's was who's.

In the store $10 each and the brooches were roughly $5-6 each

I would consider getting clutches, nice ones, not these, and give them as a gift to your bridesmaids..a nice clutch they can use again. I don't particularly care for these from Davids....but if you are on a tight budget go for it..

You can always use a less expensive flower bouquet for the Bridesmaids..which is more elegant..clutch as a gift.

So my florist is making a floral corsage for my mom's clutch since she hates corsages! If you want them to carry the clutch, get a simple one- they basically make the ribbon longer on the corsage and tie it around. So much more afordable- it is only the price of a corsage (like $15-20) versus the price of a bouquet ($50 and up). You could also have her attach the flowers to a pin if you wanted that look also.

@Jamie I love that idea. I didn't like the idea of corsages for the mothers but this would be great!
