Centerpieces (DIY and professional ones) - where else do you need them aside from the obvious?

L. Turtle, on September 20, 2010 at 7:29 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

We just got a quote from a florist - about $50 a pop for bamboo centerpieces. I haven't seen the mock-ups, but I got to see a photo on a cell phone over skype video... I guess that's good enough, right?? Blast you, long distance. ANYWAY, where else should we put arrangements? Dessert table, seating card table, where?? How many more arrangements should you have in addition to the ones that will go in the center of the dining tables?

I'm only doing them for the tables themselves, actually. The wedding we went to this weekend did the same - just on the tables.

I'm doing the fancy centerpieces for the tables only. I'm making centerpieces to go on the bar tops and bar tables.

Possibilities (though maybe plants or tall vases with branches?); ladies room, guest book table, entry to the venue, bars, food stations, and something really cute and pretty for the bride's room.

    50. per table is very reasonable in my area (ny/nj) One of my couples from the weekend decorated their archway with bamboo too; it was really simple and really pretty.
