Bride and groom send off

Rennyrenrennerson, on March 24, 2016 at 11:51 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 19

My fiancé and I can't agree wether to have sparklers or bubbles so he suggested to have both. Is that ok? I'm just wondering how that would go over. Suggestions?

Is your send off during the day or at night? Bubbles won't be very visible if it's dark, whereas sparklers look best in the dark. So I would determine what your lighting will be like at your send-off and go from there!

Check with your venue to see if sparklers are allowed -- a lot of places don't let you use them.

It will be at night. I brought that up to my fiancé and he seems to think that the light from the sparklers will light up the bubbles??? I think I need to try it out to make sure though. The venue has approved sparklers as well.

Both is overkill but sparklers are also overdone.

There was a comment in a thread yesterday about how hard and time consuming it is to set up shots with sparklers. Our venue doesn't allow them anyway, so we're doing glow sticks.

I was undecided between the two and my cousin recently did the sparklers so i am going with the bubbles. As for the darkness, the outside lights and those used by the photographers should be able to get good pictures of the bubbles at night.

I googled images for : bubbles at night time wedding and was amazed at how much more i like them at night than in daytime.

My SIL did both for hers. They did bubbles for send off from the church and then sparklers at the end of the reception. Both pictures came out awesome.

@kathryn originally I wanted the Chinese lanterns but those were quickly vetoed by the venue. :/

Chances are your guest will more likely reach for the sparklers than the bubbles.

Thank goodness you weren't allowed to do sky lanterns!

I like Samantha's idea of doing both one for the ceremony exit the other for the reception.

@Lauren J. Honestly, I hadn't researched them much. I just thought they looked really pretty but I'm perfectly fine with not having them now that I understand the dangers. Lol
