Big batch of nope

Saw this on a Penny Hoarder post about saving money for a wedding. I almost cried at her 500$ wedding.

So she really didn't have a $500 wedding. She had her family do everything. There is nothing special about that. I think many people could do the same thing if we didn't mind slaving our family members. (oh and our family owned a hall)

Sounds like in addition to the family donating their time and energy for her wedding that it was a dry wedding.

OMG, and the comment after...they are interested in interviewing her because she's so "impressive." Impressive at what? Free Loading?

I say, good for them. Back in the old days it was a reception at home and friends and family brought food to celebrated the marriage. Not everyone can have or wants a blow out wedding.

No reason to belittle people for doing it this way even if it's not most people's cup of tea.

    I agree with Dreamer...

This is a whole different take on a wedding. It's not like she skipped an open bar to buy a 3k dress.. or skipped catering because she wanted to invite 300 people.
