BAD NEWS ABOUT MUA, COULD I......

FutureMrsZottola, on May 1, 2014 at 11:35 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

..... GET SOME PRAYERS FOR HER AND ASK YOUR INPUT? My makeup artist is in her early 30's and has been recently diagnosed with late stage of Mesothelioma cancer. It's inoperable so they only give her 1-2 years to live. This is terrible news and I don't know what to say. Should I just leave her as my MUA and see what happens (my wedding isn't until 7/11/15) or do I tell her thanks anyways and find someone else. I don't want to offend her so should I let her say something first? Thanks gang for the help!

Sorry to hear about that. I would keep her, and maybe have some sort of backup plan.

MUAs are easy to find honestly.....I would stick with her, be a light in her life for now *depending on how close you two are* and hang in there. So sorry to hear she is going through something like that.

    I definitely wouldn't cancel...

Prayers and thoughts are being sent her way! That is so terrible! Sorry to hear this.

I would wait it out and let her say something to you. If you approach her and say thanks but no thanks, you will most likely hurt her beyond belief. She is going through something so terrible, I'm sure she doesn't want people to pity her. If she only has a limited time left she will most likely want to do things she loves which I would imagine is doing makeup.

Thats so sad! I would keep her as well hope for the best.

    I'm a very optomistic person.

If she gets worse she will most likely make the call herself.

I would ask her if she still feels up to doing it and not assume one way or another.

Apart from being supportive of her, I would not do anything right now. As you get closer, I would ask her if she is up to it. You never know how a person responds to treatment.

My Uncle passed away yesterday. His heart was as bad as it could be. They gave him 6 months. That was almost 2 years ago.

Bless her heart. Just wait a little while and talk to her about it so you know how she feels about it.

Wow. Cancer is such a nasty disease (this is why I Relay). She will be in my prayers.

I would let her come to you. But a backup isn't a bad idea.

Definitely said a prayer for her.....i would say stick it out for now --- you have lots of time

im sure if there is ever a time she doesnt feel she could do it - she will say so!

just look for alternates you like - just in case you have to do some calling around at a later time!

See how she's doing early next year, and make a decision then. You have a lot of time and dropping her now would just come off as very cold-hearted.

Crystal-- I'm very sorry about your uncle! Big hugs to you today!
