Anyone else not happy with the changes made to wedding wire?

I am not liking the changes that they made to the site. it has changed all my To Do date to month format and I had specific date for thing and when I wanted them done by and now we can't even put specific date in at all. I don't like the way the guest list looks either.

    Hi Karen! I've taken a look at your seating chart and budget tool and I can't tell what is wrong? I see all of your data displaying correctly. Are there specific issues you are encountering with the seating chart or budget? We would love to help resolve any technical issues ASAP!

    Seating Chart: Tables we’re scattered all over the chart. Half the guests had been removed from the chart. I spent a great deal of time, yesterday trying to fix it. I ended up grouping all the tables close together, so I could see everything without scrolling. Then reseated every one.
    So yes, now it looks fine. Because I spent a boatload of time working on it.

    Check list: Awful format. Hard to follow, date ranges are too broad.

    Budget: This, unfortunately is unfixable. The new format is terrible. FYI, I do not need a pie chart, showing where my money has gone. While it is technically usable, it is in no way user friendly. I want to see everything on one page, with minimal scrolling. I do not want to click each category. Let me be perfectly clear: I want it all on one page!! Finally, I am unable to enter the exact amount I paid for something, because it will not allow you to enter cents. If it was $24.50, I have to round it up or down. Ridiculous!

    These are just a few of my issues. There is so much more.
    The fact that I have had to spend so much time fixing something, that was just fine a couple days ago, is counterproductive. Along with the fact that I have to even explain why this is a problem. Again, wasting my valuable time.

    This update should never have happened. But since it was going to be implemented, then it should have been optional. And if not optional, then some notice of how & when the changes were coming. That would have given us time to prepare.

    Just wondering, but who in their right mind thought that this was a good idea? Really? Let’s completely change a wedding website & make it worse. Resulting in chaos for thousands of people planning the most important day of their life.

    Bottom line: This was a great web site. This upgrade has completely ruined everything. I will never recommend WW, ever. In fact, I will make it a point to advise everyone just how awful it is. There are no words to express my anger & outrage over this.

    Thank you for expressing the exact feeling I have been have since this update happened. I have already started working with my soon to be step-daughter to move all of her wedding information to a different website and she will be deleting her account, but unfortunately I am stuck working with this website till all of my RSVP's are back in. I already had an account on The Knot and Zola so at least I can use the other 2 website's checklist and budget tools instead of this crap and I am so glad I found a totally different seating chart website to use almost a year ago, www.allseated.com is an awesome website to work with for seating plan and has so many more options then WW had to begin with.

    What seating chart program did you find? The old seating chart creator on wedding wire was great, but this new one is so frustrating as you can't see the whole room nor change the size of the room! Not to mention it changed all my tables around by leaving spaces everywhere, plus no longer has a label on the items (DJ, podium, etc.), amongst other issues on the website as a whole with this new update. GRR!

    Update, just registered with AllSeated and it is MUCH better. I've also been using wedding wire, but have been keeping a paper copy of items and made plans this week to enter the information and see where we are at in terms of budget. I think I'll be moving to the knot to continue my planning!

    That is the program I was going to suggest using. I started using the seating chart in wedding wire but found All Seated over a year ago so it didn't really matter to me that they changed the seating chart in wedding wire as I was already not using it. Lol Search for your Venue in the Venue list first to see if they already have a floor plan for your Venue, if not its not that hard to create it.

    Thanks Brenda! AllSeated has been great. Just completed the seating chart with no issues Smiley smile.

    I should mention my wedding is in 29 days, so it's been rather stressful with these new updates so close to my wedding! AHH!

    Yea we are down to 44 day now and the update was a really bad idea for wedding wire to do to everybody when there are so many of us within a few months of their wedding days and it messed a lot of people up. I'm stuck since our invites went out a couple of weeks before the update so now we are stuck using WW for our RSVP's.
