4 Days away and Im about to lose a diamond

If you do not wear it before your wedding and just keep it in a safe place where it will not be touched, hopefully it will be okay for your wedding pictures.

I second that. I'm sure it will be fine. Just get it fixed after the wedding and all will be well!

I wanted to wear it to the rehersal but not sure if I will even be able to risk it. Its a 3 stone ring so with 1 stone missing it will look a little off!

Why couldn't they fix it right there and then knowing your wedding was only 4 days away? It only takes a couple of hours to fix something like that.

I'm not sure why they can't at least tighten the prongs a little?

I'd be upset with the jeweler. They clearly had poor workmanship if it's come loose unless you've owned this thing a while, my jeweler does all repairs in shop ( too em two hours to resize my ring and put the diamond in when I got it) just keep it in a safe place and get it resized while your on your honeymoon or something, just ASAP so you don't lose it!!!

I would look into another jeweler. You should be able to take it somewhere that could fix that for you the same day. I ordered his ring and it will only take a week. I also had mine sized and had it back the same day. But I have a really great jeweler. Maybe I am a little spoiled in that regard. I am sure that dealing with the insurance would be a hassle.

Yeesh that's a bummer, I have my ring in to get the prongs in for fixing at the moment and I hate looking down at my empty hand

Better that though then not have those pics on the wedding day eh! I wonder even if it did fall out if the photographer could photoshop a diamond in there? Just a thought I used to date a photographer and he could do some amazing things with photoshop

That is why I have a local jeweler that does all their work in house. I got my ring sized in two days. I see brides in here, waiting weeks for their ring. That's a no go for me.

Shannah- I sent my ring in just to get "serviced", they checked the stones, replated/polished it or whatever.... And I didn't get it back for TWO WEEKS!!!! It was awful. That was with Kay's. I'm going to look around for a jeweler like yours for sure.

Wow, that is very stressful. That is a great idea not to wear it until the big day though.

Erin, your insurance may not cover a lost stone if the jeweler has already told you it is loose and you didn't get it fixed immediately.

Thats true if it was negligence on your part they will likely say no way. ANd if she has insurance through the jeweler she has to get it repaired there or itll void it as well, they only guarantee their workmanship.
