Has anyone ordered a wedding gown online to save money, instead of going through a bridal shop? Just wondering what peoples' experience with this is.

I haven't started dress shopping yet, and definitely plan on going to as many bridal shops as it takes to figure out what I want. If possible I don't want to spend more than $500-750, but I have a feeling I'm going to like the higher quality dresses.

Tips? Thoughts?

I used bridesave.com to order my dress. It was a great experience. I found a dress on David's Bridal that I loved and found a knockoff of it on bridesave.com for $200 less. Plus, my bridesmaids got their dresses there, too and it was so much cheaper. Just be sure to order it a little bigger than you think you'll need. Bridal gowns run SMALL!

David's Bridal is wonderful. I just found out today however they have none left (I'm going to have to google and hopefully find one in my size) my first love of Wedding Gowns origionally $599 or $699 (I don't remember) for $99! It has beading and lace and super gorgeous! They have stores everywhere and wonderful Customer Service. I just couldn't afford my dress at the time and didn't want a tight dress being pregnant when I got married. You can go into the store and find out what size you need and if it's online through them or online elsewhere cheaper, their dresses are excellent quality.

    I would try www.preownedweddingdresses.com

These are dresses that are new or have been worn only once. You can get a high end dress for a low price! My friend used this website to sell her wedding dress.

Yes, I ordered two dresses from GIOAVANNI BRIDAL BOUTIQUE and they were ALL WRONG! Not only were the dresses not made to my measurements, they used cheap tacky beading and silver sequins! (YUCK). Their customer service was terrible and they even conned me into getting one of the dresses altered. They agreed to pay for o
