Discount Wedding Dress Stores in Portland, Or?

Vicki, on September 25, 2018 at 3:25 PM Posted in Oregon Planning 0 12

I'm on a really tight budget for the dress. Future MIL also offered for me to use her wedding dress (which is gorgeous and what I may end up doing). I still want to have the experience of going out shopping with my girls, though. Does anyone know of any awesome discount dress shops in Portland?

Can't fall in love with something way out of my price range Smiley laugh

Its a little outside of Portland, but we went to this amazing little shop in Albany OR. My fiancee found her dress there for ridiculously inexpensive.

My cousin found her dress at Brides for a Cause in Portland. She said she had a great experience and her budget was pretty tight for her dress. These are previously worn dresses that are in great shape that were donated.

    Hey Vicki!!

I absolutely understand wanting to have the dress shopping experience with your girls! Have you considered heading over to David's Bridal? It looks like there are two locations in/near Portland! I know a lot of community members who have found their dream dress there at a dream price too! You could also look into Allure Bridals! It looks like Ania Collection and The White Dress in Portland carry their dresses!

What does your FMIL's dress look like?!

There is a second hand bridal shop in the Portland area called Adorned in Grace. The dresses are very affordable. All of the dresses are donated and all the proceeds go towards preventing sex trafficking in the area. It's actually a wonderful non-profit company and the purchase of your wedding dress could help women! They also sell veils and accessories.

    Seconding Brides for a Cause!

If you're on a really tight budget, you might also check Goodwill or online--I got my dress from Tradesy.

Have you had any luck finding a dress, Vicki? Or are you going to wear your FMIL's dress?

BRIDES FOR A CAUSE!!! This place is amazing, I got my dress here and it only cost $485. It was actually a runway sample that never got produced from Watters! Never worn. If you or FH are military, they also bless you with an extra 20% off, and all money goes to women focused charities! Bonus-you walk away with your dress that day! Garment bags are $10, so bring one if you don't want that expense (thought I suggest you buy one of theirs, it has an expandable bottom for fuller dresses and is solid colored so FH doesn't see!)

If your budget is mega tight, they are having a dress dash this winter, all dresses $150.

It's a little more of a retail experience, you pull dresses yourself. Bring someone to help you clip them tight in case you need it, but the staff are wonderful.

I did decide on my FMIL's dress! Being a bit of a seamstress myself, I am going to add a little bit to make it more me (show below). But it fit like a glove! May have to have it taken in if I lose some weight before the wedding, but it's so beautiful! Can't argue with the price either! Smiley winking

My niece got her dress at Brides for a Cause also! She mentioned that if you don't find what you want right away, go two weeks later since the stock is always changing.

I was going to suggest Brides for a Cause also, or Cocoon Silk if you want custom at a reasonable price. BUT!
That dress is GORGEOUS! Smiley heart

I highly recommend Brides for a Cause in Portland, OR; they were fantastic! I got two dresses from them and both of them were on sale, together were less $250 and in excellent shape; the staff was super helpful and friendly; it was a wonderful experience!
