@Spaghetti - we get three options at our venue and want to do a chicken steak and fish.

I don't eat red meat at all, and rarely eat other meats so I would vote for the sea bass and one of the steak options.

ETA: @Amber no vegetarian eats fish. Those who eat fish and vegetables but no other meats are Pescatarians. You cannot be a vegetarian if you eat any kind of meat.

    @Asta that's a good idea!

Under miscellaneous entrees it lists the vegetarian options:

Penne, Bowtie, Tri-colored Rotini Primavera w/Marinara or Creamed Parmesan,

Stuffed Bell Peppers, Sautéed Vegetable Medley over White & Wild Rice or Chinese Stir Fry w/Noodles

Do you think it's worth asking if we can offer one of those along with beef? Like would that be acceptable? The chilean sea bass is probably not within budget. Offering salmon and steak (or filet mignon) would be stretching the budget.

Filet is usually my first choice, but I think NY strip is also a great option. I also just noticed the Prime Rib and I bet almost everyone in my immediate family would pick that over filet, except me.

I also agree with sea bass over salmon if beef is going to be the only other option. I know a lot of people who hate salmon, but also a lot of people who love it.

We get three options plus a vegetarian, and are getting the filet and are trying to decide between wasabi-encrusted sea bass or a crab cake (probably will be sea bass). Chicken Francaise was a big hit at the tasting, so we're choosing that too.

ETA: That's a tough choice. Definitely only offer what you can afford, and I don't think only having a vegetarian selection along with the steak would be bad, but I honestly don't know. You might have way more people ordering steak that might have had a different selection.

@Spaghetti - offer the stuffed peppers yum! If the fish is out of budget I don't think its a terrible thing to offer the chicken, especially if you can add in the vegetarian option

(I picked the veggie option at the last wedding i went to bc it sounded so good. Mushroom Ravioli in a vodka sauce YUM)

Filet (perceived as very fancy) and sea bass (nice, fatty fish; holds well)

@Asta I emailed asking about offering a vegetarian option as a main entree choice. I'll ask about adding a third option. We're get 10% off for off season so they might just not discount the 3rd option.

The coordinator said we can use one of the miscellaneous vegetarian options! I'm thinking stuffed peppers or the tri colored primavera w/marinara. I just asked about having 3 options instead of 2.

@Sara I'll be sure to try them all!

Filet Wellington and either of the fish options.

Also, I misread "Roast Pork Loin" as "Roast Pork Lion". Womp womp.

    These are my favorite posts!

1st choice: Roast Prime Rib of Beef / Chicken Cordon Bleu and Bechamel Sauce

2nd choice: Filet Mignon Wellington / Grilled Salmon Filet

3rd choice: Filet Mignon / Sauteed Chicken Breast

I'm not a huge fan of pork/lamb/sea bass. Your menu options sound amazing though!
