Different tiers different flavors?

We are doing 3 tiers, 2 different flavors. 1 Sweet potato and 2 red velvet.

We are having different tiers be different flavors. Plus we have so many people that we are having a sheet cake in another flavor as well. We couldn't pick just one flavor so we decided on having all of them!

We did 3 tiers with all the same flavor because the flavor was paradise which was 3 flavors in itself (layered). Just made it easier.

Same white cake all the way down. I'm having cupcakes to in chocolate, so there are some options.

We had 4 tiers and 2 different flavors: red velvet cake with cream cheese icing, and white pound cake with raspberry filling and lemon icing!

I love those types of wedding cakes. So much flavor in a cake!!

For simplicity and avoiding allergies we chose to do one flavor all throughout. I would also hate for a guest to not get a flavor because we ran out of the one they wanted and be stuck with what's left.

@DeNigris2Be, spice cake is my FAVORITE!!! I think different flavors for different tiers is perfect. We are doing 4 different cupcake flavors, with a small cutting cake, and a German Chocolate groom's cake!

ETA: I always love when couples have more than 1 flavor, especially if they are having something like red velvet which I find disgusting, so it gives me another option. That's why I am doing different flavors.

We did the same flavor throughout. Ours was included with the venue but if we wanted different flavors it would cost more by about $75 per tier too!

We have a flavor for each tier - carrot cake, lemon cake with raspberry filling, and chocolate cake with peanut butter filling.

Our baker said a lot of couples who are indecisive do this but to be mindful that not everyone will get the flavor they want because there won't be enough of each. We chose 1 flavor for our entire cake.
