Different or same dress for matron and maid of honors

I wanted my girls to love their dresses (I'm not paying for them so also wanted budget friendly options) so I let them all pick their own dresses. My stipulation was they all needed to be the same color and all needed to be long. Style wise 3 of my girls are doing different dresses same color and two of my bridesmaids fell in love with the same dress so they are doing the same one in navy as well. I felt this was the best option because it will give a unique look to photos but also allows them to pick dresses they can wear at a later date. One of my girls actually found this designer dress (not in any of the other girls budgets) that is a short dress with an attachable skirt so it makes it long. So all the pictures will be in a long dress and what not but during reception she can rip the skirt off and dance around in a shorter dress. She can also wear it down the road for a lot of events because of its versatility!

My bridesmaids will all have the same color dress - different styles and my Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor will have the same color dress (different color than birdesmaids) but different styles.
