Did you try more than one style at your hair trial?

KDS, on February 21, 2016 at 6:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I have my hair and make up trial next week and don't really know what to expect. I have pinned a few hairstyles that I like on Pinterest, but I'm not sure if they will work with my hair or facial features. Did you get to try more than one hairstyle at your hair trial?

I have zero talent in the beauty department so I am having a hard time visualizing what is possible. Do you I need to give direction for my makeup or is it enough to say that I want to look a step up from "natural", but not too overdone?

I plan on taking a few different pictures and letting her do her thing. She's the professional. I've also known her for over a decade, so she knows my style! As far as makeup goes, most cosmetologists know what the "bridal glow" look is and they have a go-to look for that. Again, take several pictures of what you like and let her do her thing!

I only had one look done at my hair and makeup trail and my hair/makeup artists hit the nail on the head with both. I went with three pictures for my pair and asked her make parts of each of them work together and all of the pins I pinned for makeup were pretty similar.

I'm doing two styles during my trial. One up and one down.

My stylist LOVES weddings and let me know if there isn't an appointment after mine, we can do more.

I originally wanted to try a half up/half down and side updo styles. However my stylist did such a great job with the half up/half down style that I didn't bother with the other one. It probably would have looked just as good and complicated my decision, so I didn't do it.

We're going to try fully down, half up half down, and completely up.

I'm only planning on one style. I know I want my hair up, so that makes it easier. BUT, my stylist said that if I'm not totally sold, she'd be more than willing to do another trial. I'm torn between a high updo and low.

I rarely wear anything more than mascara and BB cream. I don't even own eye liner or eye shadow, so I really have no idea what will even look good.

Haven't done my trial yet, but I will probably just do one up 'do (aiming for just a relaxed low bun/chignon) since I am getting married in June and am concerned it will be warm. My makeup "trial" will be when she does my hair and make up for engagement photos next month - for that I want my hair down (I usually wear my hair down) or maybe half up half down so it's more out of my face for the photos. A little annoying not to be able to just do the engagement hair and trial hair at once though.
