I know there has been a post like this before, but I love seeing you beauties in your wedding dresses! What is the dress you said yes to? I would love to see your pictures!

Thank you for the link. I will keep lulus in mind too. I have a dress for the reception but I’m not sure how much alterations will be. I am just trying to make sure I have some back up options in case it’s not worth getting it altered, because I got the dress for cheap.
It's a beautiful dress and looks so good on you! If not this one, what style of dress are you looking for? You definitely have time to search for another dress if loving the dress and having the feels is important to you!
Although I do love my dress now, I will say none of the dresses I tried on gave me the feels either. This one is the one that made me feel most like a bride and fit me the best. I still ooh and ahh over the pictures I took in it, but I know there will probably always be a better dress out there. Personally, I'm willing to stick with this one because of the price point (budget bride here) and because I love the way it looks on me enough, and nobody else will ever know how any other dress looks on me.
You're welcome! Do you have a photo of your current reception dress?

I did say yes !! I’m also a budget bride and what I did like is how it fits my body and how I was within budget even with alterations! Thank you for sharing and for your input I think I need to stop looking around 👀 cause it makes me doubt my dress
So this is my most recent fitting. The dress is taking some work because we're doing a very drastic taking in at the bodice and since I'm right at about where I want to be I will feel more comfortable with the alterations being done.

I love the color and detail of this dress. It turns out what you see here is not an applique but the top layer of the dress itself is a quilt. Everything is sown together. That spot of lavender is what makes the bodice so difficult to alter, but my seamstress was very proud of herself when I came in for another fitting and said "I managed to line up all the parts of the bodice so it's symmetrical!" The lady knows her stuff. This is an older dress. It's hard to believe, but it sat on the sample rack for someone to like it and it never happened. It's from Reem Acra's 2004 Spring line. I found it at Glamour Closet in Los Angeles after I almost shelled out $6500 for a Kenneth Pool gown--it blew that dress out of the water even though I actually got to try the Kenneth Pool dress in my actual size. Kenneth who? The name of the dress is "Unforgettable" it still had the original sticker price on it which I am planning to frame, they wanted $4800 retail for the dress the year it was made, I paid $1208 with taxes + alterations which I have no idea what they are going to be yet.
I tried this on 3 years ago and it was a couple sizes too small and a drop waist, hence why the back is way bunched and the boobs aren't in the right place. This has always been the dress to beat and I thought all hope was lost because it was from 3-4 years ago. It was meant to be my dress because I found one on preowned wedding dress in the right color and size!!! It gets here Saturday!!!!
I really admire that you went against what the bridal industry wants us to do and remembered the dress you loved most. I had a dress like that, but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere.
Mine was one that I ordered from Nordstrom, but then found it eBay for $175. Not your typical wedding dress. I’m obsessed. LOVE looking at everyone’s dresses🥰
My dress is by Badgley Mischka! Should arrive in a month or so!! The first picture is me, the second is someone else but you can see it more clearly than my iPhone pictures! Also, don’t mind my face, I promise I’m in love with it!

I don’t have good pictures of me trying it on because the top is very big on me. I’m not sure if I would wear the shoulder strap. I’m also not sure if it’s going to look right on my belly so I am trying to find a backup option.
