Did you pick out your own ring?

I had sent so many possible rings to my FH that he really had no idea.. When I found the one, I told him I was going in to go try it on to see it in person to see if I really loved it. He decided to go with me, which surprised me... after we looked at my ring and i was in love with it he was asked by the sales guy if he was going to purchase it. I left the store and went to look in another store. He came out while later with purchase papers. After a whole year of having my ring in his possession and had already paid it all off. I started wearing my ring. He always says how he is not cheesy... it took a month before he warmed up to pop the question. I knew it was coming.... i had only told some of my work friends but nothing on social media... He told me I could post it on FB now that he had popped the question.. I reminded him that he still needed to tell his mom and his best friend before I could post it. He was more nervous to tell them then he was to ask me. It still was a very sweet moment.

My FH picked the ring out completely on his own (with no previous hints) and nailed it!

My FH knew the jeweler I loved due to my obsession of looking at her instagram all the time (Alexis Russell if you want to check her out!), but we barely talked about the actual ring I wanted. Instead he worked with my best friend to pinpoint the exact style, and then the jeweler directly to actually design the final ring (seriously they’re the best!).

We went rung shopping in November. We’ve been together over 7 years and I have never looked at rings before. So we kinda made a night of it. I didn’t want a traditional ring so I was looking at estate rings or potentially for him to buy a lab diamond. Luckily, I found a cut and kind I really liked...and maybe the only good thing about Covid for us, was the ring was still there 6
Months later when he just proposed 🥰 so he asked and quickly after said, it’s the one you wanted!! Haha I would have been happy with anything he picked with my ideas in mind, but I’m thrilled with what I got. Anyone have any idea how to learn more about when a ring might be from?!

I got to go pick what I wanted my fiancé isn’t the best at those kinds of things lol! So we went to where he got the ring and walked in together. He wanted to make sure I loved it and got what I wanted. I was able to look around and ended up picking out two I could not decide between. So I knew the jist of what the ring looked like then I narrowed down the cut of the diamond and then it was up to him. He chose shape and size of the diamond and one of the two rings I had narrowed it down to that way it was still a surprise and he still got options to make choices on so he could be proud of what he got

The one up top is the engagement ring that my husband gave me when he proposed to me back in 2015. I still have it and I loved it still!!! On the bottom me and my husband picked out the his and her wedding rings for our wedding. I picked out the heart shaped ring because I wanted to be unique in my own way.
