Did you get your ring cleaned before the big day?

I get married on Saturday (woo!) and I was thinking about getting my ring cleaned. The jeweler that FH bought it from is kind of far away and I won't have time to make it out there before the wedding, so I'm looking for a place nearby to go. I've never had jewelry cleaned before, especially not...

The jeweler that FH bought it from is kind of far away and I won't have time to make it out there before the wedding, so I'm looking for a place nearby to go. I've never had jewelry cleaned before, especially not something this precious! I have a few questions for you all:

1. where did you get yours cleaned?

2. how long did it take?

3. how much did it cost?

4. was it worth it?

I got mine re-dipped 2 weeks before the wedding when I went in to pick up my finished band. We noticed my e-ring wasn't as shiny as the band, so they kept my e-ring and had it done in an hour. It was? a local jeweler.

I had mine cleaned on Wednesday before my Saturday wedding, I took all three rings in to a local jeweler who had resized my e-ring. The wedding bands I just had a quick steam clean since they hadn't been worn yet. My e-ring I had a full cleaning and check of the prongs etc. The simple cleans were free. Their policy is that since i had work done on my ring, I can get steaming done whenever for free. The full cleaning was $80 I believe. Kind of expensive but it's a very nice shop in a very nice part of DC.

After cleaning them, I didn't wear my e-ring until the rehearsal and took it back off after until ceremony time, just to keep it nice and shiny.

I go to a locally owned jewelry store. They will pop it in the cleaner for a quick clean for free. I had it cleaned and re-dipped before the wedding. It took about 2 weeks and about $50.
