Did you feel extremely stupid when you found your dress, then discover other brides said yes to the same dress?

This I feel so stupid, it shouldn’t even be a thing. But here we are, I just wanted to know if I’m not the only one who went through this. I found my dress YAY!!! Then one of my best friend’s looked it up and there were other brides who said yes to the same dress. Quite a few with their pictures all over the place. I’m happy for them! But I wanted a dress that nobody else had so it couldn’t be compared. Now I was thinking is it copy paste? Am I dumb? What’s….what’s wrong with me. Why am I frustrated with myself? Or is it a good thing to see how others did it so I can do it differently? I’m so confused and I think I’m a mad woman for feeling like this. An absolute mad woman.

Ultimately I walked without my glasses. I did put them on throughout the night.

Your sister’s have a sharp eye lol how did you feel when you found it and it was the same dress? Did you go through the same thing I did it was it more of a “hey that works!!”

You are perfectly fine and it is completely normal that you are feeling this way. I’m sure you will be very happy on your day and won’t even think about those other brides. Do not feel pressured to have to change it up. Do what feels right and what feels comfortable to you.

I think it's because what some of the PPs have mentioned - it's a different feeling when you've got a dress that you feel is unique. but wedding dresses even if it's not the exact same one, can honestly look similar regardless. just know that you make the dress unique, not the other way around!

I kept my glasses close by just in case I needed them. My eye doctor couldn’t do contacts without me having my eyes sized first. If you are comfortable with contacts I’d recommend trying to get some long before the day before your wedding. Lol.

My dress is one of the most popular styles my designer has ever made. It didn't bother me; it was nice to see other brides in the same dress and see how they'd styled theirs. Any time you pick a dress that's a premade style (ie not custom), someone else, somewhere on the internet is going to be wearing it. Hopefully not someone in your circle, but someone somewhere is going to be wearing it at some point.
