We will be doing one. I LOVE the anniversary dance. I know who is going to win. It will be my FH's parents they will beat my parents by 2 years. But because they are so close I will be getting FH's parents a gift card and a bouquet of roses (niether parents drink, so the wine wouldn't be a good gift) My dad has recently become disabled and now in a wheelchair he doesn't go anywhere anymore so a gift card would not work for them. I am still getting them something for runner up. I think being married for 47 years should be recongnized. With us being in our 40's it's not often that both sets of parents are still married. I look up to both of them. I know that the traditional thing is only one winner but I am going to change it up a bit for mine.

There are many songs that are appropriate for an anniversary dance. If you have a pretty good idea of who the "winning" couple will be, you might be able to do a little detective work and find out if they have a special song, or if they danced to a particular song at their wedding, and have your band or DJ play that.

For the Anniversary Dance, we get a lot of requests for Anne Murray's "Could I Have This Dance For The Rest of My Life". It's an old song, but it's very sweet.
