Did you call those who didn't RSVP?

So I have less than a month for RSVPs to come back. My FH and I have differing opinions on if you're supposed to contact the guests who did not respond by the RSVP date. The WW checklist says you are supposed to call those people, which is what I thought as well. Did you call or text the people you didn't hear from? Or, did you just assume they weren't coming? Or, told them they couldn't come since they didn't respond by the specified date?

Call them. Don't guess. Typically the answer is no. Give them 24 hours to make up their minds if they are local. Anyone traveling should have made plans by now.

Also some of our invites got lost in the mail. Only because some of them were family and asked us about it did we know and were able to contact the people who didn't get invites.

@lydia UGH that's even worse to say yes on the phone because they felt bad saying no. Did they feel bad that you had to pay for their empty seat? I'd be so mad.

We had no shows who RSVP'd yes. So frustrating.

Since we are having to rent chairs for the ceremony we need to know who will be there. For the ones who don't rsvp we will contact them the way we normally do. Most of them will be Facebook and the message on Facebook will even state of we don't get an answer we can't guarantee a seat for the ceremony. Down side still is that they could still show after not responding and take someone's seat who did respond.
