Did i say 'yes' to the (right) dress?

Do you ever go out to eat and have your mind set on a certain entree, and you're so sure you're going to order that one, but then the waiter comes, and you instantly change your mind last minute? Well, that's me with food...and now apparently with wedding dresses. For 2 months, I've been in love...

Do you ever go out to eat and have your mind set on a certain entree, and you're so sure you're going to order that one, but then the waiter comes, and you instantly change your mind last minute? Well, that's me with food...and now apparently with wedding dresses.

For 2 months, I've been in love with dress 1 and compared ALL other dresses to it. But something was bothering me about it. Was it too simple? Was it boring? I always wanted to incorporate some lace, so I was surprised at how much I loved this simple mikado gown. I also love off the shoulder dresses in general, so that was a plus.

Then I saw the dress 2 and fell in love with that one, too! It had the simple lace detail I was drawn to, the romantic neck line, pops of pearl detail, all while being set in the mikado, trumpet silhouette. After lots of thought and internal pressure, I ended up choosing dress 2! But as soon as I paid for it, I felt a pang of regret. I am still in love with the first one, and dream of wearing it one day. Is this normal? It's like a breakup. I can't seem to move on! Please pretend I'm your BFF and give me reasons to get over it. HAHA. [Note: I wear 'off the shoulder' dresses to pretty much every fancy function, so I thought I would give the FH something different to look at with dress 2]

Keep dress 2 because it looks stunning on you and you bought it for a reason!! I 100% agree with deleting photos of you in ANY other dress from your phone. When we were shopping, my friend took photos of me in every dress I tried on but I only had her send me the pictures of my actual dress. I didn't want to see any of the runner ups on me and have doubts. Whenever I start to wonder and have doubts, I look back at the pictures of my dress and love it all over again.

Thanks so much, everyone, for your honest opinions.....whether you liked dress 1 or 2! I appreciate all the very nice, uplifting comments, as well. Because of you, I can move on more swiftly and confidently! It is still hard for me to say goodbye to my first love, but I will survive, I guess. Smiley laugh Thanks!!!

Is #1 the Josie by Rebecca Ingram? I just loved that dress and the back of it, photo does not do it justice.
Since you always wear off shoulder the 2nd might be a nice change and its stunning on you.

I love lace and that’s part of who I am; however I completely am into structure I’d say more so than an all-Lacey type since In my opinion there’s such a thing as too much lace lol.
It can distract from you. Just like how too much bling can.
However with dress #1 there’s beautiful structure and you could have a Lacey veil perhaps or with pearls that makes it more girly/bridal?
Ultimately it’s up to you. If I could go back I’d go with more of a structured look and less lace, but that’s all just me and my opinion. It depends on how they make you feel and especially (this helped me a lot) what you envision yourself walking down the aisle in toward your SO. That’s what you should choose. Trust me...it may take a few times of replaying it in your head, but you’ll know which one you can see yourself getting married in over the other dress that’s just pretty. It’s not THE ONE. Then you’ll know which one to choose for sure. Also I wish I would’ve/could’ve done things like anomalie etc and actually made a dress for me since there were so many bits and pieces of dresses I liked but not an overall look I wanted for my wedding day. Hope this helps and regardless you’ll be gorgeous and everything will work out. Congrats as well on your day. 🥰❤️💍
