Did anyone use FB as a way to follow up and remind people to RSVP? (a FB group/message)

Maybe a private group and invite only those invited of course, or a reminder message to everyone in their inbox.

Not to collect RSVP's but that is how I collected addresses and let people know to save the date.

I only used it to follow up on people who never RSVP (sigh) and did it through individual private inbox.

I did a status update and only made it visible to the people who haven't sent RSVP's back letting them know they only had one month left. : )

I posted a status and kind of snuck it in....it was something like "Only 48 more days until our wedding, I am so excited!! I can't wait to see all of our family and friends there!! If you haven't yet, don't forget to send in those RSVPs Smiley smile "

Now I don't have any friends or family on my FB that would be upset if they didn't receive an invite...if I had people that I was on the edge about inviting and didn't then I probably wouldn't have posted. Or I would have done something like Beth

@ Beth I didn't even know you can do that. Sounds like a good idea and they won't even know only they're able to see it.

@ Krista I like the way you wrote your update as well. A nice subtle way to ask for RSVPs.

I been texting the people from my side and FH been texting the ppl from his side... I did think to send a FB msg since it shows when someone reads the message. Don't want people to say "O, I never got your text msg." Which I guess technically they can say since they never responded (but hopefully that doesn't happen).

I post passively about it on FB - something like "I love getting RSVP's! Keep them coming, friends!"

I have a private group already set up for close family, friends and the bridal party. Right now its mainly being used for "Hey guys look at this cute wedding thing"

But later it will be a way for me to post information for them. "Don't forget the sunday brunch at mom's house on sunday after the wedding!" or "Do I have a volunteer to pick up Aunt Jean from the airport? Her ride fell through!"

I did. I posted a message saying the invitations were out, and for everyone who got an STD card to check for the invite and if they didnt get it, let me know, and dont forget to RSVP. Then me and FH have both been posting little subtle reminders over the past week.

I did what Beth suggested, worked great.

I surely did. People were forgetting to RSVP. I found everyone's FB page that had one and sent out a soft reminder not to forget to RSVP. RSVPs flew in. I also sent out text messages too. Some people may think that's tacky, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
