y fiancé and I had sex 4 weeks ago. Two weeks later I spotted for three days straight. I missed my period today. I’m very concerned. I don’t have access to a test right now so that’ll eventually happen. But the weird thing is that we both are positive we are not pregnant. We had sex the day after my period ended. And he did not ejaculate inside me. He didn’t even go at all! We stopped after a few minutes when we realized this was unprotected.
Ive been so stressed planning this wedding...including the family drama on both sides...I’ve never missed a period like this! It stresses me out even more!!
Do any of you have similar stories?
Thank you!

Yes, my fiancé and I agreed BC is the way to go for the first year!! He wants kids soon but not this soon haha. I’m still spotting at the time of my period. I guess this must be a stressed period?

I would definitely take a test ASAP. Last year I missed my period for 6 months due to stress. I took multiple pregnancy tests, all negative, and even went to the GYN to make sure I was ok. It was just a really hard time for me, I was so stressed, and the first time I’ve ever missed my period for more than a month so I was freaking out. It eventually came back and is normal now but definitely take a test for peace of mind.

Thank you for sharing. It def helps to hear what other’s stories are about even though everyone’s body is different. Did you spot at all during the 6 months? And were you on a contraceptive?

I think I spotted a little. Not a lot. I was on birth control pills. I've been taking bc pills since I was in high school, so it's definitely been over 10 years of being on them.

Omg I think my period started. Ugh I hope it’s a complete 4-5 day period. I was delayed by 4 days. So cross your fingers this is the period! Thank you so much for everyone’s input. My fiancé and I definitely are going to be on birth control when the wedding comes. No sex till then!

It turned out to be just stress! Even my friend had the same situation before her wedding too!

This has happened many times to me before, with the stress of wedding planning and even before wedding planning. I recently talked to my doctor about if stress can affect your menstrual cycle, and she said this is completely normal especially if you have a lot going on. That's the advice that I was given, but also she told me to find something that will keep my mind off of things, to find an outlet (mine is writing), whether it's binge-watching something on netflix or going to the gym usually helps out keep stress off of you. I've learned that keeping your mind off of wedding planning for a day or two helps out too.

Yes, my body will do this and or make me early or skip my period too. I do have thyroid issues and am on medication and sometimes I think this isn't helping me either.
