So i'm having my dress custom made. Early in the process we decided no train. I LOVE everything about my dress but I've sorta been doubting the lack of train lately. I mentioned it to my seamstress and she said we could add a detachable train. She tried to give me a visual of how it would look but...

So i'm having my dress custom made. Early in the process we decided no train. I LOVE everything about my dress but I've sorta been doubting the lack of train lately. I mentioned it to my seamstress and she said we could add a detachable train. She tried to give me a visual of how it would look but it was hard to picture. I just hit google images and all of the model photos that come up look like capes for your butt to me....so not exactly the look I'd be going for. Did anyone out there have a detachable train and if so can you share some real photos? Very much appreciated in advance!!

I was going to go for a traditional bustle but I like your idea of detachable train.

I can't get the picture of butt cape out of my head...I see superman hahaha

@Sarah G could you please show us pictures?

I was obsessed with this detachable train from David Tutera until I saw the fabric and details up close in person.

Instead of a detachable train, you could do a cathedral veil to give you that train look and feel.

My friend had a detachable train. But hers was from her neckline down. It was very pretty.

My sister had a lace sheath which she added a detachable train to, and even I didn't know! She found her dress alone and didn't show anyone until her final fitting (train was attached when we came in) I didn't know it came off until her reception! lol. I think it's all in how it's positioned and attached.
