Destination Wedding

View Quoted Comment Yesss. I got a rude awakening last year when we vacationed to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and plane tickets were more expensive than Hawaii! I didn't even bother to look at any international travel because if stateside is expensive then I couldn't imagine we'd have many important loved ones show. In fact, it would have probably just been his dad and my parents.

We are having our wedding at Sandals Montego Bay Jamaica July 22,2022 we originally pick the date cause we were in a mutual friend wedding now we are not but I like the idea of our guests and family (50-60) being able to save and make payments with enough time. At least on our end. We are sending out save the dates the end of this year and engagement party next year. This also gives us time to save for the wedding we want and pay in cash as well as pay off debt. We don’t want to take out loans or charge any expenses. I’m super excited for all to come from planning to visiting our wedding location to meet with vendors and planner, engagement photos and party and the joyous moment of our wedding day!

I’m a planning on getting married 1/1/21 in Sierra Leone, Africa. That’s where my fiancé and his family are from so his relatives are excited and have no problem traveling that distance as they understand all the costs and things associated with traveling abroad to Africa. However, some of my family maybe deterred from attending due to the high cost of airfare. We expect about 30 people from US to attend but have not sent out any save the dates yet as we wanted to wait until we have locked in our hotel prices and dates. Our goal is to send the STD and all info on websites no later than February!

We're doing a DW at Sandals Resorts in Jamaica. We're super excited because we've never been put of the country before. We started planning 2.5 years in advance to give people enough time to budget. We invited about 40 people. We're staying 7days

Hi Janae, Congratulation!

We are planning a destination wedding in Riveria Maya or Tulum. We are just getting started on the process. It seems like there are a lot of great resort options with packages that keep the cost affordable. We are planning on still hiring a wedding planner though to help with our vision and coordinating leading up to the big day.

I just got engaged on April 10 2020. We want to do a destination wedding in September 2021. We’re very excited.
