Destination Wedding in Santorini Greece

Are you Greek? Do you have any cousins or relatives that live there or can you speak Greek? If so, have them look for you? Or, you could call a local hotel and ask them for names of wedding planners. Hotels surely have seen a few come through! Also, sorry this is off topic but, are you Orthodox? If so, have you started looking at crowns? I'm not sure where to look for mine . . .

I actually got married in Santorini last year with the help of the wedding planner that you mention! She was great! I picked her after sending e-mails with my requests in almost any wedding planner in Santorini. I am actually Greek but have moved from Athens about 10 years ago so it wasn't easy for me to plan everything although I do speak Greek and I know my way around in Greece. She planned everything in detail for us, helped us with our accommodation, reception, ferry tickets, flowers, church, wedding crowns and even a small visit to Mykonos after our stay in Santorini. If you look at the photos on their website you'll understand how beautiful Santorini is, and the cost is lower than what it would be here at home. We had a nice party at home when we got back, we got a lot of presents and didn't spend a fortune. Fyi, i visited there and the hotel Panorama was a great place to stay for visitors: the rooms are well priced and they all have balcony overlooking the caldera. Sunset was AWESOME

I don't have any advice, but this sounds so awesome! FH wants to honeymoon in Greece so badly. Hopefully we'll get there!

We had an absolutely awful wedding which was planned by Anna Vafeiadou at Santorini weddings. She wasn't even there and didn’t inform us that she wouldn’t be there when we got married so we didn't even had a planner that day just 3 individuals who were supposed to be a videographer, photographer and a driver.

The driver’s cell phone went off during our vows, which he answered, our photo album and video was unbelievably awful and it rained when we were there so they supposedly had no other option for us except a cheap hotel room with a TV chained to the wall. They didn’t have an umbrella for us and made us stand in the rain. My flowers were brown, they couldn’t get our iPod setup to play the music that we wanted either. It was a nightmare that I will never forget and will never be able to fix.

I beg that you find another planner because I wouldn't want anyone else to experience what we went through. Our wedding was completely 100% ruined and we even tried to get a refund so we could have another ceremony back home and she refused to give us a refund, fought our credit card company and never even wrote us back to apologize.

Please please please don't use this company or planner. I have even more horrible details that would be way to long to list here but please believe me when I say that I can never get this day back and going with this planner was one of the biggest mistakes of our lives.
