Hey, so I’m recently engaged and I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on destination weddings that aren’t out of the country. My fiancé doesn’t want to get a wedding planner because we’re paying for our wedding ourselves. TIA!

You can also park and take the "Key West Express" from Naples/Fort Myers! Cuts out like 7 hours of drive time or something crazy!! It also has drinks on board and tvs. It's fun! (ETA: It's a huge boat for like a hundred people)

I am also having our wedding in Key Largo, but I live in Florida. I HIGHLY suggest if you are not going to shell out the money for at least a DOC, make a trip down to at least select your venue. You will regret not doing one or the other. I suggest selecting venues in person. Make a winter vacation out of it-There is a lot to see that can't be shown on a video call. People will deliberately not show the not so pretty parts of a venue in order to make the booking.
