Dessert table set up

We are planning on having cupcakes and cookies at our local celebration party. I will get a cupcake tier to arrange the cupcakes but I'm having a hard time deciding on how to arrange the cookies. I want something a little nicer than just throwing them in a plate. Any suggestions?

    Pretty serving plates and cake stands will do the trick! Adding different heights will help the display look nice!

    We had mini cupcakes and mini pies. The pies weren't out yet when this pic was snapped. The different heights made for a nice display.
